Title: Change
I walked in on a conversation the other day between several men and women. The men were loud in their venting about various things their girlfriends were mad at them for. To avoid exposing anyone, let’s look at some generic examples like…you left the cap off of the toothpaste, why can’t you put the dishes into the dishwasher, why do you throw your clothes on the ground instead of the hamper…on and on. The women were commiserating amongst each other affirming all the allegations being spoken. UNSUSTAINABLE!
Now, it has been said by many a man that the first thing women want to do when they meet a man is to change him. An age old battle that has been going on for a long time. Women want it one way and men another. It appears to be part of the process of relationships. Eventually there is some sort of compromise.
Then one of the woman said, “This would not happen if I met my soulmate.” She professed that soulmates get along perfectly from the onset. Hmm…I wonder…
In perfect time, I heard “A man will change once in his life for one woman and only for one woman. You will know when that is and it will make perfect sense to do so.”
Ladies, the right man will not require change. Gentlemen, the right woman will be worth any change you can offer.
Happiness is lurking in the obvious!
